Our passion to live clean + sustainably drove us to create the first organic, natural wood care products ever.

We will never use Mineral Oil (liquid petroleum) in any Roostmade product. Ever.

We make every effort to be plastic free. For example, the cutting board scrubber shown above, is made from sustainably sourced timbers, and the bristles are made from the husks of coconuts. The packing peanuts we use in our shipping boxes are made from corn, not plastic, and they dissolve into water naturally. Lastly our packaging is 98% plastic free, and we're working really hard to fix that last 2% too.

Organic means safe.

Our wood care products contain no solvents, no toxic anything, zero VOC's (no nasty fumes), it has no alkyd resins, no driers, and it's so easy to use, even kids can use it, (how many other wood finishes can say that?)

Neglected vs. Protected

Without regular care, neglected cutting boards develop cracks and warp. Our products are made without mineral oil, a petroleum byproduct of the refining process of crude oil. How can we aspire to eat clean + sustainably when we're slathering liquid petroleum on our cutting boards?

This drove us to create the first organic + natural wood care products, lovingly handmade right here in California.
